Christmas Festival

The Christmas Committee, ably led by Debbie Large are well on the way to completing the planning the 2017 Christma Festival and the only thing missing is you. We need lots of volunteers to be Marshalls or help with running the Cake Stall, Santa's Grotto, and other events.The date is Thursday December 7th. .

We also need gifts for the tombola, please take any you have to my house 145b High Street or Jarvis Ltd on the corner of Redcar Road and Longbeck Road.

Please send your names, what you would like to help with and prizes as soon as possible

St Marks Church Sesquicentennial Week - 13th - 21st October

Join St Marks to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the dedication of St Marks Church

There will be displays in church during the week

Sunday  15th October, Candle lit dinner

Monday 16th October, Concert - Marske Band

Tuesday 17th October, Service of Thanksgiving

Wednesday 18th October, Concert: Marske Fishermens Choir and White Rose Singers

Thursday 19th October, Bydales 'Music and Art'

Friday 20th October, Concert: Shiney Row male Voice Choir

Saturday 21st October, Bellringing and Youth

All Evening events will start at 7:00 pm

Concert tickets will be £5.00

A weeks pass to the dinner and all concerts will be £50

Tickets will be on sale in St Marks Church from 1st August.

Marske Methodist Church Open Arts and Crafts Exhibition 2017

October 27th – 28th

at  Hummershill Lane Church Hall

Viewing and official opening by Artist Philip Boville on Friday 6 pm – 8 pm. Saturday 9.30 am – 4.30 pm – open for viewing.

Refreshments and stalls of Art Related Items on sale to support Leonard Cheshire Disability.

The Art Group will be joined by other artists and crafts people from the area, showing what a gifted community we are.

Next Meeting - Wednesday 22nd November 2017, 6pm at the The tech4m building

Please note the next meeting has been brought forward to the 18th instead of the 25th.  Due to school holidays!

Open General Meetings are every other month on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 6pm in the canteen of H Jarvis Ltd - tec4m (corner of Longbeck/Redcar Road). Dates of meeting and events are placed in the Marske Square Noticeboard and you are welcome to attend when you can

A consultation on ward boundaries for Redcar and Cleveland has begun

The consultation will close on 4 December 2017. After considering all representations made during this consultation, the Commission intends to publish draft recommendations in February 2018. There will then be a further period of consultation on the draft recommendations. Final recommendations are expected to be published in June 2018. The new electoral arrangements will come into effect at the local elections in 2019.

This is a public consultation and we welcome views from individuals and organisations across Redcar and Cleveland on where they think new ward patterns should be drawn.

The Commission welcomes comments on the recommendations report by 4 December 2017. Christmas Festival - Thursday 7th December.

It is to be A Magical Christmas theme for Shop Window Competition and every thing to do with the Festival including the Craft Fair in the Leisure Centre. Santa will be in the Whitehouse as last year and the reindeer will be on the grass in front of St Marks Church.
